1. Super things happen to Natural people.

But after he has considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a

dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home

as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

2. We are invited into the story, too.

He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to

all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the

right to become children of God—

John 1:11-12

3. He gives us gifts for the journey.

Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and

devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was

on him.

Luke 2:25

Father of the heavenly lights …

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them…

There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is

the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is

given for the common good.
