Practice of Celebration

We choose to Celebrate because:
1.) It’s an act of obedience.
As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.” He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
Luke 11:27-28
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice!
Philippians 4:4
2.) It’s an act of trust.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you – you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ …
Matthew 6:26-33
3.) It’s a reflection of the heart.
A glad heart makes a happy face, but when the heart is sad, the spirit is broken.
Proverbs 15:13 (NLT)
El corazón alegre hermosea el rostro = The joyful heart makes my face beautiful.
Celebration is a practice.
Action Step: I commit to follow Jesus for the first time today.
